Adani Green Energy Powers the Future: 250 MW Solar Revolution in Andhra Pradesh!

Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL) has expanded its renewable energy efforts by starting a new 250 MW solar power project in Kadapa, Andhra Pradesh. The project was developed by its subsidiary, Adani Solar Energy Ap Eight, and adds to AGEL’s growing clean energy portfolio.

AGEL’s Renewable Energy Capacity Crosses 12.5 GW

With this new solar plant, AGEL’s total renewable energy capacity has now reached 12,591.1 MW. The company continues to lead India’s green energy sector and currently operates the country’s largest renewable energy portfolio of 11.7 GW. AGEL is committed to achieving 50 GW of renewable capacity by 2030, supporting India’s shift toward sustainable energy.

Strong Financial Growth in Q3 FY25

AGEL’s growth is also reflected in its financial performance. The company reported a massive 92.2% increase in its consolidated net profit, reaching ₹492 crore in the third quarter of FY25. Sales grew by 3.1%, reaching ₹2,286 crore compared to the same period last year.

Stock Market Reaction

After this announcement, Adani Green Energy’s stock price rose by 0.37% to ₹828.10 on the BSE. Investors remain positive about AGEL’s strategic growth plans and its role in India’s clean energy transition.
