VA Tech Wabag’s stock went up by 2% after the company secured new projects worth ₹360 crore from GAIL and IOCL.

The company won a contract to design, build, and operate (DBO) a water treatment system for GAIL’s petrochemical complex in Pata, Uttar Pradesh. This project includes:

Trulli
  • A 450 cubic meter per hour ultrafiltration (UF) and reverse osmosis (RO) effluent recycling plant
  • A zero liquid discharge (ZLD) plant with an evaporator
  • A new wastewater treatment plant
  • Upgrading an existing plant

The engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) phase will take 24 months, followed by six months of operations and maintenance (O&M).

Additionally, VA Tech Wabag received a ₹20 crore repeat O&M contract from IOCL to manage the tertiary treatment reverse osmosis (TTRO) plant at IOCL’s Panipat Refinery in Haryana. This extends Wabag’s O&M services for another three years.

The company has been managing this plant since 2006. Notably, Wabag had designed, built, and commissioned this TTRO plant nearly 20 years ago, making it India’s first industrial water recycling plant in the oil and gas sector.

S. Natrajan, head of sales and marketing at VA Tech Wabag’s India Cluster, expressed his gratitude, saying, “We are delighted to secure these important projects and thank GAIL and IOCL for their trust. These repeat orders highlight our strong customer relationships and expertise in water treatment.”
