A Major Boost for India’s Defence Sector

Ashok Leyland, a leading name in commercial and defence vehicles, has secured ₹700 crore worth of new orders. These orders come from the Indian Armed Forces and Paramilitary Forces.

The contracts include a range of specialized military vehicles. Some of the key models are the Stallion 4×4 and Stallion 6×6. Additionally, the deal covers Short Chassis Buses and Mobility System Travelling Platforms.

This major order further strengthens Ashok Leyland’s position as a dominant player in defence mobility solutions. The company continues to be a trusted partner for India’s military forces.

Deliveries Begin Soon

Deliveries for these advanced vehicles will begin in the next financial year. This move highlights Ashok Leyland’s strong commitment to India’s defence sector.

For decades, the company has been a trusted partner of the military, supplying rugged and battle-ready vehicles.

These machines are built to conquer tough terrains and excel in critical operations, ensuring reliability when it matters most.

Leadership Speaks: Pride and Commitment

Shenu Agarwal, MD & CEO of Ashok Leyland, expressed pride in the new orders, stating, “We are immensely proud to reinforce our leadership in defence mobility. These orders reflect our commitment to delivering cutting-edge solutions for the armed forces.”

Amandeep Singh, President of Defence Business, highlighted the company’s role in ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’, saying, “Our indigenous designs, from 4×4 to 12×12 platforms, are built to meet modern defence needs, including armouring, ensuring durability and versatility for our forces.”

Strong Financial Performance

Ashok Leyland’s recent financial results show a 36% jump in net profit (₹761.92 crore in Q3 FY25), with revenue rising to ₹11,946.15 crore.

Despite a slight dip in shares (0.58% to ₹207.45 on BSE), the company remains a strong player in both commercial and defence sectors.

What’s Next?

With these orders, Ashok Leyland continues to drive innovation in defence mobility, supporting India’s self-reliance in military technology. The future looks promising as the company gears up to deliver these high-performance vehicles to the nation’s protectors.
