National Security Adviser Ajit Doval on Thursday threw an open challenge to Pakistan and international media houses, demanding proof of any damage to Indian infrastructure during the recent tensions between the two countries following the deadly terror attack in Pahalgam on April 22.

Speaking at the 62nd Convocation of IIT Madras, Doval strongly criticised the foreign media’s reporting on Operation Sindoor, calling out their claims as baseless and urging them to produce even a single image of damage done to India.

“Foreign press said Pakistan did this and that… You give me one photograph, one image, showing any damage to Indian structures—even a glass pane being broken,” Doval said. “They wrote these things and circulated them… but the only images they put out showed 13 air bases in Pakistan, before and after 10th May. Whether it was Sargodha, Chaklala or Rahim Yar Khan… It’s all there.”

Doval asserted that India’s response was precise, powerful, and indigenous. “We decided to hit nine terror targets in Pakistan—not on the border. These were deep inside. We missed none. We hit nowhere else. The operation lasted just 23 minutes,” he added, praising indigenous weapon systems like BrahMos and Akash for their effectiveness.

“We’re proud of how much of our response was powered by indigenous defence technology. The accuracy and precision were unmatched. We knew exactly where to strike, and we did so without error,” Doval said.

He also addressed the crowd of IIT graduates with a message on national resilience and civilisational pride. “You belong to a country, a civilisation, that has faced immense challenges over a thousand years. Our ancestors have suffered great humiliation, hardship, and deprivation just to keep the spirit of this nation alive. The nation is different from the State. India, as a nation, is ancient. The State might be recent, but the soul of this country has existed for millennia,” he said. “We will be completing 100 years of independence 22 years from now.”

Operation Sindoor, launched on May 7 in response to the Pahalgam terror attack—which killed 26 people, including a foreign tourist—targeted key terror bases across Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir. The four-day operation was one of India’s sharpest cross-border responses in recent times.

Supporting Doval’s claims, the Border Security Force (BSF) also released exclusive footage from Operation Sindoor, showing significant damage inflicted on Pakistan’s launch pads and bunkers. The video featured aerial visuals of Indian forces targeting and destroying locations such as Looni, Putwal, Bhaironath, and PP Dhandar.

Further clips in the video captured the destruction of Pakistani army posts and bunkers at sites like Tipu, Mumtaz Complex, Zameel, Saidawali, Umranwali, Chaprar FWD, Chota Chak, Junglora, and more. Pakistani soldiers were reportedly seen abandoning several of these posts under sustained Indian firepower.

While India continues to reiterate its precision-driven, targeted operation against terror infrastructure, Ajit Doval’s direct challenge to foreign narratives underscores the government’s confidence in its military and intelligence capabilities—both in execution and in handling global perception.

Brinks Report will continue monitoring the fallout and developments related to Operation Sindoor.
