
A serious bus accident in southern Iran has left at least 15 people dead and 27 others injured.
The incident happened near Shiraz, the capital city of Fars province. According to Iran’s state news agency IRNA, the bus overturned, causing the tragic loss of lives and injuries.

Masoud Abed, the head of the province’s emergency services, said 15 people have been confirmed dead so far. Rescue teams rushed to the scene with 11 ambulances and two ambulance buses to help the victims.
Road accidents are a major issue in Iran, with around 17,000 people dying in such incidents every year. Experts say the main reasons include unsafe driving, old and poorly maintained vehicles, and weak emergency response systems.
