Kerala is the Worst Hit
Kerala is the only state with more than 1,300 cases, with 189 new cases in one day. The state is carefully watching flu-like and serious respiratory illnesses. Officials say the rise in cases is not a big worry because hospitals are ready.
A health official from Kerala said public hospitals will do more RT-PCR tests, which help detect the virus better. Private hospitals are mostly using Rapid Antigen tests.
Doctors advise people not to panic. Medical facilities are prepared for the rise in cases. If you have symptoms like a stuffy nose, nausea, stomach problems, or sore throat for more than 4 days, you should get an RT-PCR test.
