Elon Musk just gave a one-word review to Sundar Pichai’s big earnings post on X. And yes, it’s going viral.
Alphabet, the parent company of Google, recently shared its quarterly results. The numbers were huge. Alphabet earned $28.2 billion in profit. That’s a 20% jump from last year. Total revenue also hit $96.4 billion. This beat Wall Street’s expectations, which were around 10.9% growth.

Soon after the announcement, Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai shared a post on X (formerly Twitter). He called it a great quarter. But more than that, he reflected on his 10-year journey at Alphabet.
“Just got off the earnings call. Great quarter and it was our (and my) 40th call as Alphabet,” Pichai wrote. He also mentioned how Alphabet’s revenue in 2015 was $75 billion. But now, just YouTube and Cloud are running at $110 billion a year.
That’s big growth.
The post got a lot of love online. Many people praised Sundar Pichai for leading the company so well. But one reply stood out.
Impressive
— Elon Musk (@elonmusk) July 24, 2025
Elon Musk replied with just one word:
“Impressive.”
Yes, that’s all he said. But when it comes from someone like Elon Musk, one word can say a lot.
And it didn’t stop there. Pichai replied back with a folded hands emoji. Then Musk commented again: “Serious money.”
It felt like two tech giants giving each other a nod.
But that’s not the only thing Sundar Pichai achieved this month. He also became a billionaire. According to Bloomberg, his net worth is now $1.1 billion. This is mostly due to Alphabet’s strong stock and his years of steady leadership.
Pichai also became Alphabet’s longest-serving CEO. He started at Google in 2004. Back then, he worked in product development. Over the years, he helped shape big platforms like Chrome, YouTube, and Android.
In 2015, he became the CEO of Google. Then, he took over as CEO of Alphabet too. Under him, the company expanded into cloud services, subscriptions, and AI.
This post and Musk’s reply shows how even simple words can go viral when tech leaders speak.
Bottom line:
Sundar Pichai delivered big numbers. Elon Musk replied with one word. And now, the internet can’t stop talking about it.
