To speed up the investigation, Bihar’s top police officer (DGP) Vinay Kumar has formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT) led by SP City Central.
Meanwhile, political strategist Prashant Kishor criticized the Nitish Kumar government, comparing it to the old “jungle raj” (lawlessness) during Lalu Yadav’s rule. He said, “There is no difference between the two. Earlier criminals ruled, now officials do as they please.”
Kishor also mentioned that crime is increasing in Bihar. “A businessman was killed in Patna. Just a day earlier, three people were shot in Siwan. This is happening every day,” he added.
He blamed the government for corruption and lack of action, saying officials are not being held responsible.

Gopal Khemka was active in real estate and other businesses and was known in Patna’s trading community.
The motive behind the murder is still not clear. Police are checking if it was due to business rivalry, personal issues, or past threats.
Tragically, Khemka’s son, Gunjan Khemka, a BJP leader, was also shot dead in a similar attack in 2018 at his factory in Hajipur.
Police are now collecting CCTV footage, witness statements, and looking into Khemka’s recent activities to find those responsible.
