An Indian tourist’s honest Instagram video about traveling in Europe during summer has gone viral. In the video, Bulbul Pandey (@pandeyjipardesi) shares his real experience of how difficult it is to enjoy Europe in the extreme summer heat. His advice to other Indian tourists? “Mat aao Europe” – Don’t come to Europe in summer.
Europe’s Summer Struggles
Bulbul starts the video by warning people planning a summer trip to Europe. He says, “Bahut garmi hai… please mat aao” (It’s too hot here, don’t come). He talks about how walking around and sightseeing becomes really uncomfortable in the intense heat.

No Fans, No AC – But Expensive Rooms
One of Bulbul’s biggest complaints is that many European hotels and rentals do not have air conditioning or even a fan, even though they are very expensive. He describes the rooms as “dabbe jaise chhote chhote kamre” (tiny like boxes), yet the prices are very high. He also adds that just staying cool and hydrated is a struggle. A small water bottle costs about 2 to 2.5 euros (around ₹200–₹250).
What People Are Saying Online
The video got a lot of attention, and people had mixed opinions. Some agreed with Bulbul. One person commented, “Even the cheapest hotel in India has a fan. Europe in summer is not a good idea.” Another said their daughter, who lives in Germany, had to buy her own fan and air cooler because of the heat.
But not everyone agreed. Some viewers defended Europe, saying it’s still a great place to visit in summer. One person said, “I was there last week. Trains, trams, buses, and hotels had AC. It was beautiful. Don’t spread negativity.”
Bulbul’s video has started a conversation about what it’s really like to visit Europe during peak summer. While some people feel it’s too hot and uncomfortable, others still enjoy it. Whether you plan to go or not, it’s good to know both sides of the story.
