Is Trump reviving his dream of annexing Greenland? US delegation’s visit raises eyebrows!
A high-profile US delegation is visiting Greenland this week to explore possibilities of strengthening ties. The team, led by Usha Vance, wife of Vice President JD Vance, includes White House national security adviser Mike Waltz and Energy Secretary Chris Wright. The delegation aims to visit the Pituffik Space Base, meet US service members, and participate in Greenland’s national dogsled race.
The visit comes amid Donald Trump’s renewed interest in a potential US annexation of Greenland. Trump believes Greenland’s strategic location and rich resources could benefit the US, particularly for missile defense. However, the governments of Greenland and Denmark have opposed this idea.
