Veteran Telugu actor and comedian Fish Venkat is currently fighting for his life in the ICU and urgently needs a kidney transplant. The estimated cost of the transplant is around ₹50 lakh, and his family is struggling to arrange the money.
His daughter Shravanthi shared that actor Prabhas has come forward to help.
“Prabhas’ assistant called and offered financial support,” she said in an interview. She added that they have promised to help when the transplant is scheduled.

Finding a Donor Is the Bigger Challenge
While the financial help has given them some relief, the main issue now is finding a kidney donor. Sadly, no one in Venkat’s family is a match.
Shravanthi made an emotional appeal to Tollywood stars like Chiranjeevi, Pawan Kalyan, Allu Arjun, and Jr NTR to help them find a donor.
“My father has acted in so many films with all of them,” she said.
Shravanthi’s Emotional Plea: “No One Seems to Care Anymore”
She expressed her disappointment that despite her father’s decades of work in the industry, support has been slow.
“He has worked in so many good films with big stars, but now it feels like no one cares,” she said with sadness.
Fish Venkat’s Contribution to Telugu Cinema
Fish Venkat is well-known for his unique Telangana accent and comic roles. He became popular with films like Bunny, Adhurs, Dhee, and Mirapakay, and has acted alongside almost every major Tollywood hero.
His nickname ‘Fish’ became popular because of the local flavor he brought to his acting.
Venkat remained active in acting until recently. His last works include the Aha original Coffee with a Killer, and earlier films like Maa Vintha Gaadha Vinuma and DJ Tillu with actor Siddhu Jonnalagadda.
This situation shows how important it is to support our artists in their difficult times. Shravanthi hopes the film industry and fans will come together to help her father recover.
