Samsung’s upcoming smartwatches, the Galaxy Watch 8 and Galaxy Watch 8 Classic, have had their specifications and European pricing leaked online ahead of the official launch. These new models are expected to feature significant improvements in performance, design, and display quality. Both smartwatches will be powered by the new Exynos W1000 3nm 5-core processor, offering faster speed and better energy efficiency. They are likely to come with 2GB RAM, 32GB of storage, and run on One UI 8.0 Watch.
For health and fitness tracking, Samsung is including a wide range of sensors such as an accelerometer, altimeter, gyroscope, light sensor, geomagnetic sensor, PPG (heart rate), ECG (heart rhythm), and BIA (body composition) sensors. The Galaxy Watch 8 is expected to come in two sizes – 40mm with a 1.34-inch sAMOLED display and 325mAh battery, and 44mm with a 1.47-inch sAMOLED display and 435mAh battery. Both versions will have an Aluminum Armor casing with Sapphire Glass for durability.

The premium Galaxy Watch 8 Classic will reportedly come in a single 46mm size, with a 1.34-inch sAMOLED display, 445mAh battery, and a Stainless Steel body with Sapphire Glass. All displays across the series will feature a high pixel density of 327ppi and up to 3000 nits brightness, ensuring excellent visibility even in bright sunlight.

As for pricing in Europe, the Galaxy Watch 8 (40mm Bluetooth) is expected to cost €379.99 (₹38,195), while the 44mm Bluetooth + 4G version may be priced at €459.99 (₹46,235). The Watch 8 Classic (46mm Bluetooth + 4G) could be priced at €579.99 (₹58,295). Additionally, a new Watch Ultra model for 2025 is expected at €699.99 (₹70,360).
Samsung is likely to unveil the new watches during its upcoming Unpacked event, alongside the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Z Flip7. The event will be livestreamed globally, with pre-orders expected to begin immediately and a possible release date of July 23, 2025.
