How a ₹618 crore irrigation project is set to transform Jharkhand’s farms and SPML Infra’s future!

SPML Infra Hits Upper Circuit After Bagging ₹618 Crore Jharkhand Irrigation Project

In a major boost to its growth trajectory, SPML Infra has secured a massive ₹618 crore irrigation project in Jharkhand, sending its stock soaring by 5% and hitting the upper circuit at ₹175.65. This project is set to transform the agricultural landscape of the region, benefiting thousands of farmers. Let’s dive into the details!

What’s the Project About?

The Konar Irrigation Project aims to improve water availability and irrigation systems across 12,599 hectares of farmland in Jharkhand. The project will cover three key blocks: Bisnugarh (Hazaribagh), Nawadih (Bokaro), and Dumri (Giridih).

  • Rebuilding and strengthening canals and distributaries.
  • Constructing solar-powered pump houses and approach channels.
  • Installing advanced water conveyance systems using high-quality pipes.

10-Year Commitment to Sustainability

What makes this project even more impactful is SPML Infra’s commitment to 10 years of operation and maintenance (O&M) post-completion. This ensures the irrigation infrastructure remains functional and sustainable, directly benefiting farmers for years to come.

Leadership Speaks

Subhash Sethi, Chairman of SPML Infra, expressed his enthusiasm:
“We are proud to contribute to Jharkhand’s irrigation development. This project reflects our commitment to sustainable water management and improving farmers’ livelihoods. With advanced technology and efficient execution, we aim to deliver high-quality results within the timeline.”

SPML Infra’s Financial Strength

The company’s recent financial performance has been impressive. In Q3 FY25, SPML Infra reported a 795.5% surge in net profit, reaching ₹9.94 crore. Although sales dipped by 26.2%, the company’s ability to secure high-value projects like this one highlights its strong market position.
