U.S. President Donald Trump has shared plans to introduce a “temporary pass” for some undocumented immigrants working in farming and hospitality industries.
Trump said that many people working on farms and in hotels have been there for years, doing hard jobs that are tough to fill. Arresting and removing them could hurt these industries badly.

What Trump Said:
In an interview , Trump explained that his team is working on a system that would allow long-term undocumented workers to continue working—as long as they pay taxes and their employers (like farmers or hotel owners) vouch for them.
“When we remove people who have been working on a farm for 15 or 20 years, it hurts the farmer,” Trump said.
“These are good people doing tough jobs, and replacing them is nearly impossible.”
ICE Raids Paused:
Trump’s earlier comments about this plan led to a pause in immigration raids by ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) at farms and hotels.

Farmers and Hotel Owners Support the Idea:

He added: “We must protect our Farmers,” promising that “changes are coming.

Trump is trying to balance strict immigration policies with the needs of American industries that depend on undocumented workers. His idea is to give some of these workers a temporary legal status, helping employers keep valuable workers without breaking immigration laws.
