UPI Transactions Surge 35% YoY, Cross ₹25.1 Lakh Cr in July

Digital payments through UPI (Unified Payments Interface) reached an all-time high in July 2025, with 1,947 crore transactions made, worth a total of ₹25.1 lakh crore.

This is a 35% increase in the number of transactions and a 22% rise in the total value compared to July last year.

On average, 62.8 crore UPI payments were made every day in July, which is more than June’s daily average of 61.3 crore. The average daily value of these transactions also went up from ₹80,131 crore in June to ₹80,919 crore in July, showing a steady rise in digital payment usage.

Both the number of payments and their total value show that UPI continues to grow and become more popular across the country. July recorded the highest number of UPI transactions ever in a single month.
