In a bold move to highlight Pakistan’s role in cross-border terrorism, India has initiated a global exposé through seven all-party delegations that began their missions on May 22. These delegations are traveling to key countries across the globe, including the United States, Gulf nations, Europe, and Southeast Asia, with the goal of showcasing evidence of Pakistan’s state-backed terror activities and reinforcing India’s strong stance against terrorism.

The global initiative comes in the wake of several high-profile terrorist attacks originating from Pakistan, and the recent deadly attack in Pahalgam, where civilians were targeted based on their religion. The delegations aim to counter misinformation, present official evidence, and rally support for a united global front against terrorism.

Shashi Tharoor Leads Delegation to the US, Calls Terrorism a Global Threat

At the forefront of India’s diplomatic efforts is Congress MP Shashi Tharoor, who is leading the delegation to the United States. During his visit to the 9/11 Memorial in Washington, Tharoor condemned terrorism as a global menace, emphasizing that the fight against terrorism is not only India’s battle but one for the entire world. He declared, “Terrorism isn’t just India’s fight—it’s the world’s war. At the 9/11 Memorial, we stood in solidarity, but with steel in our spine.”

Tharoor further explained India’s position on counterterrorism, particularly following the recent Pahalgam attack. He described the attack as an attempt to provoke religious backlash, as the victims were predominantly Hindu. He highlighted India’s swift response under Operation Sindoor, which targeted terror bases in Pakistan with precise strikes. “India sent a clear message that it would not tolerate terrorism, but equally, it conveyed that the retaliatory action was calculated and not an opening salvo for an extended conflict,” Tharoor explained.

“Enough is enough. Terrorism isn’t just India’s fight—it’s the world’s war. At 9/11 Memorial, we stood in solidarity, but with steel in our spine.”

Building Alliances and Countering Misinformation

Over the coming weeks, these all-party delegations will engage with foreign ministers, parliamentarians, journalists, think tanks, and community leaders in their respective regions. The delegations will present compelling evidence of Pakistan’s terror operations, including eyewitness testimonies, official documents, and firsthand accounts of the human toll exacted by cross-border terror attacks. Their mission is to ensure that the global community understands the depth of Pakistan’s involvement in supporting terrorism as a tool of state policy.

The rapid deployment of these delegations sends a powerful signal of India’s determination to not only protect its own citizens but also to garner international support in the fight against terrorism. The delegations aim to counter misinformation and dispel any narratives that may undermine India’s position or cast doubt on its legitimate counterterrorism actions.

India’s Unified Position: All-Party Support

What makes this global campaign even more significant is that it is led by representatives from multiple political parties, reflecting a united front on India’s zero-tolerance policy toward terrorism. Among the key figures leading the delegations are BJP MP Baijayant Panda, who is touring Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Algeria; DMK MP Kanimozhi Karunanidhi, who is visiting Russia, Spain, Greece, Latvia, and Slovenia; and BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad, who will travel across the UK, France, Germany, Italy, and Denmark.

Other high-profile leaders include Sanjay Kumar Jha, heading the mission to Indonesia, Malaysia, South Korea, Japan, and Singapore, while a delegation from the Eknath Shinde group will brief officials in the UAE, Liberia, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and Sierra Leone. Supriya Sule leads the delegation to Egypt, Qatar, Ethiopia, and South Africa.

This diverse group of leaders, representing various political parties, highlights the bipartisan nature of India’s approach to counterterrorism, showcasing the nation’s collective resolve in dealing with the scourge of terrorism.

Pakistan’s Role in State-Sponsored Terrorism: India’s Unwavering Stance

India’s decision to send these all-party delegations comes after Pakistan’s continuous use of terrorism as a strategic tool. The recent attack in Pahalgam, where terrorists specifically targeted civilians based on religion, was a stark reminder of Pakistan’s long-standing support for such terror operations. India has long accused Pakistan of providing sanctuary to terror groups that orchestrate attacks on Indian soil, and the delegations aim to bring this issue to the forefront of international discourse.

Through these delegations, India seeks not only to highlight Pakistan’s complicity in terrorism but also to stress that its response has been both necessary and proportionate. The objective is to build a global consensus against the use of terror by any state actor, while emphasizing India’s commitment to ensuring the safety and security of its citizens.

A Global Stand Against Terrorism

As these all-party delegations make their way across the globe, their mission is clear: to expose the terror network backed by Pakistan and gather international support for India’s counterterrorism efforts. The delegations will leave no stone unturned in presenting their case to the international community, hoping to foster greater understanding and cooperation in the global fight against terrorism.

The message from India is unequivocal: it will not tolerate terrorism on its soil and will continue to take necessary and measured actions to protect its citizens. Through this global initiative, India is sending a strong signal to the world — terrorism, regardless of its source, must be condemned and eliminated, and those who sponsor it must be held accountable.
