
Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra got married to Biju Janata Dal leader Pinaki Misra in a small ceremony held in Berlin, Germany, on May 3. Both Mahua Moitra and Pinaki Misra have not officially confirmed the wedding yet.
Mahua Moitra is a two-time Member of Parliament (MP) from Krishnanagar, West Bengal. Pinaki Misra is an experienced politician from Odisha, representing the Puri constituency.

Mahua Moitra was born on October 12, 1974, in Assam. She started her career as an investment banker before joining the Trinamool Congress party in 2010. She was first elected as an MP in 2019 and then again in 2024. She is well-known for her strong speeches in Parliament.
Pinaki Misra was born on October 23, 1959, in Puri, Odisha. He is a senior lawyer and a long-time politician. He studied history at St. Stephen’s College and law at the University of Delhi.

Misra began his political career with the Indian National Congress and won his first election in 1996. Later, he joined the Biju Janata Dal party and has been elected several times since then.
