SpiceJet Responds
SpiceJet released an official statement denying the passengers’ claims. A spokesperson said the food was fresh and good quality, provided by an authorized vendor who also supplies to other airlines and airport outlets.
The airline also defended its staff, saying:
“Our team works hard and behaves professionally. What happened in the video was very unfortunate. Our staff was polite and respectful, even while being treated badly. We do not accept any kind of misbehavior or aggression towards them.”
Flight Delay Was the Main Issue
As per a report by Navbharat Times, the issue was linked to SpiceJet flight SG-8124, going from Pune to Delhi. The flight was delayed by more than seven hours, which caused frustration among the passengers.
