When Anushka Sharma was pregnant with her second child, she and Virat Kohli decided to keep it a secret. Even though fans had guessed something from Anushka’s few public appearances and some viral videos, the couple didn’t confirm anything.
Things changed when Virat’s close friend and former teammate AB de Villiers accidentally revealed the news during a YouTube interview. He said that Virat took a break from cricket because Anushka was expecting their second child.

Later, Anushka and Virat officially announced the birth of their baby boy and named him Akaay Kohli.
Now, in a recent interview with Cricket.com, AB de Villiers shared that after he mistakenly shared the pregnancy news, Virat stopped talking to him. The two reconnected only about six months ago. AB said,
“I was really relieved when he started talking to me again. We were always close, and I was worried I had messed up.”
He also talked about how Virat was going through a tough time personally and professionally.
AB added, “Virat wanted to talk to me about how I handled difficult phases in my life. He’s played a lot of cricket, and there’s always pressure—team politics, performance, expectations. I shared my honest thoughts with him, and I’m happy he’s still playing because it clearly comes from his heart.”
