Suzlon Energy is back in the spotlight—and for good reason. The Indian wind energy giant has secured a major 170.1 MW wind power project from Ampin Energy Transition. This isn’t just another contract. It’s a powerful nod to India’s growing push for self-reliant and affordable green energy.
This marks the third project collaboration between Suzlon Energy and Ampin. The continued partnership reflects more than just business. It’s about a shared mission—to speed up India’s switch to clean energy, using solutions made right here in the country.
54 High-Tech Wind Turbines to Power India Forward
As part of the deal, Suzlon will supply 54 of its cutting-edge S144 wind turbine generators (WTGs), each with a 3.15 MW capacity. These turbines come with Hybrid Lattice Towers (HLTs), built to deliver high performance even in low-wind areas.
Suzlon’s job doesn’t end at delivery. The contract includes everything—equipment supply, installation, commissioning, and long-term operations and maintenance. In short, a full package built to last.

Clean Power for Indian Industry
JP Chalasani, CEO of Suzlon Group, said it best: “DISCOMs are the key link in India’s clean energy story. They connect renewable power with daily consumption. From factories to homes, the goal is clear—affordable, clean electricity for all.”
And that’s exactly what this project aims to do.
Vivek Srivastava, CEO of Suzlon India Business, added, “Three orders from Ampin show we’re united by mission. Together, we blend innovation and local know-how to reshape India’s power sector.”
A Bold Vision: 25 GW by 2030
Pinaki Bhattacharyya, Founder and CEO of Ampin Energy Transition, sees this as a strategic move. The company is aiming for a 25 GW renewable energy portfolio by 2030. Teaming up with Suzlon, known for its local manufacturing and wind expertise, is key to hitting that goal.
Suzlon’s Comeback Story
Once struggling, Suzlon Energy has staged an impressive comeback. In Q4 FY25, the company posted a 365.2% surge in net profit, reaching ₹1,182.22 crore. Revenues also jumped by 73.2% to ₹3,773.54 crore.
The Big Picture
India’s energy future is being written right now—and companies like Suzlon are holding the pen. By keeping manufacturing local and costs low, they’re not just building turbines. They’re building trust.
