A 5.2 magnitude earthquake struck Pakistan early Sunday morning at 3:54 AM IST, according to the National Centre for Seismology (NCS). The earthquake occurred at a depth of 150 kilometers. Its epicenter was located at 30.25° North latitude and 69.82° East longitude.

So far, there are no reports of any injuries or damage. Authorities are keeping a close watch on the situation.

The NCS shared details of the quake on X (formerly Twitter), saying:
“Earthquake of Magnitude: 5.2, Date: 29/06/2025, Time: 03:54 AM IST, Depth: 150 Km, Location: Pakistan.”

Pakistan is one of the most earthquake-prone countries because it lies in a region where two large tectonic plates—the Indian and Eurasian plates—meet. Areas such as Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are especially at risk.
