₹2,191 Crore Mega Deal! HCC-Tata Projects Set to Revolutionize Madhya Pradesh Metro

HCC-Tata Projects Won ₹2,191 Cr Madhya Pradesh Metro Deal

Hindustan Construction Company (HCC) and Tata Projects (TPL) have won a ₹2,191 crore contract to build an 8.65 km metro corridor in Madhya Pradesh. This includes underground tunnels and metro stations for the Madhya Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation (MPMRCL). HCC holds a 55% share in this project, worth ₹1,205 crore.

This contract, called Package IN-05R, is the only underground section of the 31.32 km Indore Metro Phase 1. It involves constructing an 11.32 km tunnel using Tunnel Boring Machines (TBM) and seven underground stations. The stations will be at Indore Railway Station, Rajwada, Chota Ganpati, Bada Ganpati, Ramchandra Nagar, BSF/Kalani Nagar, and Airport. The tunnel will connect the east side of Indore Railway Station to the west side of Airport Station.

HCC is already working on metro projects in Mumbai and Chennai. In Mumbai, the company is building 4 km of twin tunnels and four stations for Metro Line III. In Chennai, they are working on two metro packages. Over the years, HCC has played a key role in India’s metro development, contributing to projects like Delhi Metro, Bangalore Metro, Mumbai Metro Line I, and Kolkata Metro.
