In a shocking mistake, a Pakistani airline accidentally flew a passenger to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, instead of his actual destination, Karachi.

The passenger, Shahzain, had a ticket to fly from Lahore to Karachi. However, due to confusion at the domestic terminal of Lahore Airport—where two planes were parked at the same gate—he unknowingly boarded the wrong flight.

Despite showing his ticket to the air hostess, Shahzain said no one informed him he was on the wrong plane. He only realized the mistake two hours into the flight when he questioned why they hadn’t reached Karachi yet. At that point, the airline crew panicked and started blaming him for the error.

What made matters worse was that Shahzain did not have a passport or visa to enter Saudi Arabia, as he had not planned for international travel. Once in Jeddah, he was told he would have to wait two to three days before being sent to Karachi.

Shahzain has now sent a legal notice to the airline. He is demanding that the airline pay for his extra travel expenses and also compensate him for the inconvenience and emotional stress he experienced.

The Pakistan Airport Authority has taken the issue seriously. The Lahore Airport Management has blamed the airline for being careless and negligent. A formal request for action has been submitted to the authorities.
