PhonePe SBI Card

India’s fintech scene just got a major upgrade. PhonePe SBI Card SELECT BLACK and PURPLE are here, and they’re built to reward your everyday spending. This isn’t just another credit card drop. It’s a bold move by two big names — PhonePe and SBI Card — to make formal credit simple and useful for everyone.

What is the PhonePe SBI Card?

This is a co-branded credit card available in two versions:

  • PhonePe SBI Card SELECT BLACK
  • PhonePe SBI Card PURPLE

Both cards are being rolled out in phases on the PhonePe app. Users will be notified if they’re eligible. Once invited, it takes just two steps to get started:

  1. Fill in your details on the PhonePe app
  2. Complete your KYC with SBI Card

Yes, that’s it.

What’s in it for you?

A lot. Especially if you’re someone who lives online — paying bills, booking trips, recharging, ordering food, and more.

With SELECT BLACK, you get:

  • Up to 10% rewards on PhonePe spends (recharges, bills, insurance, flights, hotels, Pincode delivery, etc.)
  • 5% rewards on other online shopping
  • Rs 1,500 welcome gift as a PhonePe e-voucher
  • Rs 5,000 travel voucher after spending Rs 5 lakh in a year
  • Access to airport lounges
  • Priority Pass membership
  • 1% fuel surcharge waiver

With PURPLE, you still get:

  • Up to 10% rewards on PhonePe spends
  • Rs 500 welcome voucher
  • Rs 3,000 travel voucher after Rs 3 lakh annual spend
  • Lounge access and fuel waiver too

Both cards run on RuPay and VISA. RuPay ones support UPI linking. VISA cards can be tokenised for safe online payments.

Why this matters

India is moving fast toward a credit-led economy. Many young Indians still don’t use credit cards. These new PhonePe SBI Card SELECT BLACK and PURPLE options bring strong rewards, simple access, and easy usage.

You can apply, use, and manage the card directly inside the PhonePe app. No paperwork. No waiting.

PhonePe’s CEO Sameer Nigam said it best — this partnership will make formal credit easier for Indian users. And with SBI Card’s strong credit backing, users get both rewards and trust.

This card is not just for big spenders. It’s built for daily digital Indians. You get rewarded for what you already do — pay bills, shop online, travel, and recharge.

If you’re between 21 and 35, live in a city or town, and use PhonePe already, this is one credit card worth checking out.

So, are you ready to switch your wallet to smart mode?
