BMW Z4 M40i Pure Impulse Launches in India at ₹96.90 Lakhs

The much-awaited BMW Z4 M40i Pure Impulse has finally made its way to the Indian market. Priced at ₹96.90 lakhs (ex-showroom), this new launch is all set to thrill driving enthusiasts with its bold looks and powerful engine.

BMW India announced the launch earlier this week, and fans are already buzzing with excitement. This model is more than just a roadster. It’s a statement on wheels.

A Design That Screams Sporty

The Z4 M40i Pure Impulse gets a major visual upgrade over the regular Z4. It now comes with the exclusive Frozen Deep Green metallic paint, paired with a sleek black soft-top roof. The design language is sporty, yet refined.

Adding to the charm are the M Shadowline lights, high-gloss black kidney grille, and M light-alloy wheels. All these features make the Z4 stand out, whether it’s parked or racing down the highway.

Inside, BMW has added M-specific details like Vernasca leather upholstery and premium M pedals. The cabin is modern, luxurious, and driver-focused.

Under the Hood: Power Meets Precision

The BMW Z4 M40i Pure Impulse is not just about good looks. It packs a serious punch under the hood. This roadster comes with a 3.0-litre inline-six petrol engine, delivering 340 hp and 500 Nm of torque.

It can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds. The engine is mated to an 8-speed Steptronic Sport transmission, offering both manual and automatic gear shifts.

Thanks to the adaptive M suspension, variable sport steering, and M Sport brakes, this car offers sharp handling and excellent control — whether you’re cruising or cornering hard.

Technology and Comfort

BMW didn’t cut corners on tech. The Z4 M40i Pure Impulse comes equipped with:

  • A 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster
  • A touchscreen infotainment system
  • BMW ConnectedDrive features
  • Harman Kardon surround sound system

It also includes features like wireless Apple CarPlay, dual-zone climate control, and front and rear parking sensors for added convenience.

Limited Edition Thrill

This new launch is part of the “Pure Impulse” edition, a limited-run variant that adds more exclusivity. While BMW hasn’t confirmed production numbers for India, globally, such editions are often low in volume, making them more desirable for collectors.

Is It Worth It?

If you’re someone who values performance, luxury, and exclusivity, the BMW Z4 M40i Pure Impulse is a tempting choice. At ₹96.90 lakhs, it may not be cheap, but it delivers in almost every department — from design and speed to tech and comfort.

The BMW Z4 M40i Pure Impulse launch isn’t just about bringing another luxury car to India — it’s about offering a more dynamic, exclusive version of a beloved roadster. With its limited-edition flair, premium features, and a performance engine that roars, this model is tailor-made for those who crave style and speed in equal measure.

If you’re looking for a convertible that stands out, this might be your moment. Just don’t wait too long — the Pure Impulse edition won’t be around forever.
