Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan is getting ready to release his next movie, Sitaare Zameen Par. But after that, he plans to work on a very special dream project — Mahabharat.
In a recent chat on entrepreneur Raj Shamani’s podcast, Aamir shared that the Mahabharat has always been close to his heart. He said the story is full of emotion, drama, and depth — everything one can find in life. Aamir feels so strongly about this project that it might be the last film he ever works on. “Maybe after this, I will feel there’s nothing more to do,” he said. “The story is so powerful, I might not want to do anything after that.”
Aamir, known for his detailed and perfectionist approach to films, has been thinking about this project for years. He said the Mahabharat is a huge project and will take a lot of time to plan and write. In fact, it might take years just to develop the full script.
He hasn’t yet decided if he will act in the film or just produce it. He said the roles will be given to the most suitable actors. Aamir also shared that the Mahabharat is too big to be told in just one movie. Instead, it will be made into multiple parts, and different directors may be involved to complete it in a proper timeframe.
Earlier, in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Aamir called the Mahabharat one of his biggest dreams. On a personal note, Aamir Khan also confirmed that he is currently in a relationship with Bangalore-based entrepreneur Gauri Spratt.
