A tragic plane crash happened in Ahmedabad on Thursday afternoon. An Air India flight heading to London Gatwick crashed shortly after takeoff from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport. The accident took place in a crowded residential area and is being called one of the most serious aviation incidents in recent years.
The Boeing Dreamliner 787 was carrying 242 people, including passengers and crew. Among them were 169 Indian nationals, 53 British nationals, 1 Canadian, and 7 Portuguese citizens.

Actor Shah Rukh Khan expressed his sadness on X (formerly Twitter), saying:

PM Modi Shares His Thoughts
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also reacted to the tragedy. He wrote:
“The tragedy in Ahmedabad has stunned and saddened us. It is heartbreaking beyond words. My thoughts are with everyone affected. I’m in touch with ministers and authorities who are helping the victims.”
Shah Rukh Khan’s Recent Work
Shah Rukh recently made his debut at the Met Gala, wearing an outfit by designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee. He was last seen in the film Dunki.
