A scary incident happened at Denver International Airport on Saturday when an American Airlines plane had to stop takeoff because of a landing gear problem.
The flight, American Airlines Flight 3023, was supposed to go to Miami. But around 2:45 pm local time, the plane had technical trouble right before leaving the runway.
Video clips shared online showed smoke and flames coming from the back left side of the plane. Passengers were seen quickly sliding down emergency slides to escape the aircraft.

American Airlines later said the issue was with a tire on the Boeing 737 MAX 8. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) also confirmed the incident.

All 173 passengers and six crew members were safely evacuated. Medical teams checked six people for minor injuries. One person was taken to the hospital.
The airline is now investigating what went wrong.
