Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan are one of the most loved couples in Bollywood. They got engaged on 14 January 2007 and had a beautiful wedding on 20 April the same year.
In 2011, their lives changed forever when they became parents. Their daughter, Aaradhya Bachchan, was born — and it was a moment of great happiness for the entire Bachchan family. Amitabh Bachchan, Aaradhya’s grandfather, was especially proud and emotional.

Big B’s Joy After Aaradhya’s Birth
After Aaradhya was born, Amitabh and Abhishek came out of their home, Jalsa, to talk to the media. Amitabh shared that the baby looked like Aishwarya, but added that babies’ faces change every day, so it was hard to say for sure. At that time, they hadn’t yet chosen a name for the baby.
Amitabh as a Grandfather
Amitabh also mentioned that he had just finished shooting for his show Kaun Banega Crorepati and had no upcoming work. He said, “I’m free now, and I will stay at home.” Abhishek joked that his father would now take care of his granddaughter.

Aishwarya’s Strength During Childbirth
One of the most touching moments came when Amitabh praised Aishwarya’s strength during childbirth. He shared that she was in a lot of pain for 2 to 3 hours but still chose to go through a normal delivery. She didn’t take any painkillers or an epidural, which many people do to reduce pain. Amitabh was very proud of her courage and respected her even more for her decision.
