
A court in Bangladesh has issued a new arrest warrant against former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, her daughter Saima Wajed Putul, and 17 others. They are accused of corruption related to illegally getting a residential plot.
The case was filed by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC), and the Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Zakir Hossain Galib has accepted the charge sheet. Since none of the accused appeared in court, the judge issued arrest warrants for all of them.

France May Recognize Palestinian State in June
French President Emmanuel Macron said that France might officially recognize Palestine as a state in June. He added that, in return, some countries in West Asia could also recognize Israel as a state.

Macron said, “We need to move towards recognition of a Palestinian state.” The group Hamas welcomed his statement and called it an “important step,” while Israel’s foreign minister strongly disagreed with the idea.
