
A blast happened outside the home of BJP leader Manoranjan Kalia in Jalandhar, Punjab, around 1 am. The police are now investigating what caused the explosion. They are checking CCTV footage and waiting for a forensic report to confirm whether it was a grenade blast or something else.
Jalandhar Police Commissioner Dhanpreet Kaur said, “We received information about the blast around 1 am. Our team reached the spot quickly and began the investigation. Forensic experts are checking the area and CCTV footage to find out what exactly happened.”

Manoranjan Kalia said he heard a loud sound while he was sleeping. “At first, I thought it was thunder. Later, I was told that a blast had occurred outside my house. I sent my gunman to the police station, and the investigation began. CCTV footage is being reviewed, and the forensic team is here.”

Deputy Commissioner of Police Manpreet Singh also confirmed the incident and said the forensic team will give a detailed report soon.
Police are continuing their investigation to find out who is behind the blast and what type of explosive was used.
