Plane Belonged to Air Force
The Bangladesh Army has confirmed that the aircraft belonged to the Air Force. It was an F-7 BGI, a Chinese-built fighter jet often used for training pilots.
This model is known for being affordable but has a mixed safety record. There have been multiple crashes involving the F-7 in the past, both in Bangladesh and other countries.
Rescue and Investigation Underway
Rescue and search teams are still at the scene. They are checking for more possible injuries or deaths, and assessing the damage to the school.
Parents of students rushed to the area, fearing the worst. Some students were injured by flying debris or shock from the crash.
Authorities have promised a full investigation into how this happened. Many are asking how a military aircraft could crash in such a busy civilian area.
