A Coldplay concert turned into a PR disaster this week. The Coldplay kiss cam caught something way more shocking than fans expected. Astronomer CEO Andy Byron and his Chief People Officer, Kristin Cabot, were seen getting cozy on camera. The video is now all over the internet.
This happened at Coldplay’s concert at Gillette Stadium in Massachusetts. During the show, frontman Chris Martin pointed to the kiss cam. The camera zoomed in on a couple in the crowd. They hugged, smiled, and looked like they were about to kiss. The moment seemed cute—until people online figured out who they were.

That couple? Andy Byron, CEO of Astronomer, and Kristin Cabot, head of HR at the same company. Both are married. And Byron is Cabot’s boss. This sparked a storm on social media.
One clip went viral. You can hear Chris Martin joking, “Either they’re having an affair or they’re very shy.” The crowd laughed. But what started as a funny moment quickly became a scandal.
People on X (formerly Twitter) started digging. Byron is married to Megan Kerrigan Byron. They have two kids. Cabot is also reportedly married. One user said, “The CEO and the HR head are having an affair and brought a junior employee to cover for them at the concert.”
Some users even claimed that Byron’s wife removed his last name from her social media bios after the video went viral. Others called him “sleazy” and said this wasn’t the first time he crossed lines.
Astronomer is a data startup worth over $1 billion. It hit unicorn status in 2022 and just moved its HQ to New York City. Andy Byron became CEO in 2023. He has worked at other big tech companies like Lacework and BMC Software.
So far, Astronomer has not released a public statement. But this event raises serious questions.
