In a big win for Mumbai Indians (MI), their fast bowler Deepak Chahar revealed how he dismissed Rajasthan Royals’ young star Vaibhav Suryavanshi during Match 50 of IPL 2025 on May 1 at Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi, just 14 years old, had recently shocked everyone with a blazing 35-ball century against Gujarat Titans. It was only his third match, and he had already become the youngest player to score a T20 hundred.
But this time, against MI, the teenager couldn’t make an impact. He was dismissed for a duck (zero runs) in just two balls by Deepak Chahar, who got him caught at mid-on.
After the match, Chahar praised Suryavanshi’s talent and said the team had planned carefully for each batter. “Every batsman has strengths and weaknesses. We make plans as a team for all players, not just one. Today, the plan worked, and I was lucky to get him out. He’s a good young player and has a bright future,” Chahar said in the post-match press conference.
After Suryavanshi’s early dismissal, Rajasthan Royals couldn’t recover and were bowled out for just 117 runs while chasing a huge target of 218. MI won the match by 100 runs and moved to the top of the IPL points table.
