In a shocking and heartbreaking incident in southwest Delhi’s Sagarpur, a 40-year-old man allegedly stabbed his 10-year-old son to death after the child asked to go outside and play in the rain.

The man, a daily wage labourer, was living in a small one-room house with his four children after his wife passed away a few years ago. On Sunday, the tragedy unfolded inside their home when the third of his four children requested to go out and play.

According to police, the father became angry when the boy kept insisting on going out despite being told not to. In a sudden fit of rage, the father reportedly picked up a kitchen knife and stabbed the child in the chest.

The incident happened in front of the boy’s siblings, who were inside the house and saw everything.

After the stabbing, the father took his injured son to the hospital himself, but sadly, the child was declared dead.

The police received a call from the hospital around 1:30 pm and reached there quickly. They arrested the father and have recovered the kitchen knife used in the attack.
