Maine Pyaar Kiya Phir Se, an upcoming Bollywood film, is bringing Dharmendra and Arbaaz Khan back together on screen after 27 years. The two last shared space in the 1998 hit Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya. This fresh project is produced by Ronnie Rodrigues of Pearl Group of Companies. Interestingly, Rodrigues has also written the story and lyrics himself.
The film’s muhurat (launch) ceremony happened earlier this week, drawing big names like Rajpal Yadav, Udit Narayan, and Ganesh Acharya. Singer Udit Narayan even performed a never-heard-before song from the film, adding extra charm to the event.

For most movie lovers, Maine Pyaar Kiya Phir Se is more than just another film. It’s about nostalgia. Who doesn’t remember those fun, feel-good films of the late ’90s? Seeing Dharmendra and Arbaaz together again feels like revisiting a simpler, sweeter time in Bollywood. It also means that despite all the noise about “new-age cinema,” old-school masala entertainment is far from dead.

The team behind Maine Pyaar Kiya Phir Se
The film is being made under PBC Motion Pictures Pvt. Ltd. and directed by Sabir Sheikh. Apart from Dharmendra and Arbaaz, the film also features Ronnie Rodrigues’ sons. The music is handled by Dilip Sen and Sameer Sen, with lyrics (again!) by Rodrigues. The action is choreographed by Mohan Baggad, and cinematography is led by Naushad Parkar.
Arbaaz Khan summed up the mood best. He said working with Dharmendra again feels like his journey has come “full circle.” It’s a reminder that some bonds in Bollywood don’t fade—they just wait for the right script to spark back to life.
When can you expect the film?
Maine Pyaar Kiya Phir Se is set to hit theaters in November 2025. The shoot will begin soon. That means fans don’t have to wait too long to see this iconic duo again.
Dharmendra described the film as a “mix veg”—a bit of everything for everyone. Comedy, romance, drama—it promises a plate full of classic Bollywood flavors. And honestly, in times of remakes and formula films, at least this mix comes with some original spice.
