DLF, one of India’s biggest real estate brands, is finally stepping into the Mumbai housing market. On July 17, DLF will launch its first residential project in Mumbai—The Westpark—located in Oshiwara, part of Andheri, a fast-growing suburb in the city. The project is approved by MahaRERA and marks a big move for the Gurugram-based company, which is known for its luxury homes in north India.

A Fresh Chapter for DLF in Mumbai

For years, DLF has ruled the Gurgaon skyline with its luxury and ultra-luxury homes. Now, it’s trying something new. With The Westpark, DLF is branding the property as ‘premium’—not quite luxury, but still high-end.

The homes are priced between ₹5.5 crore and ₹7.5 crore. The price might sound steep, but for central Mumbai, this is quickly becoming the new normal.

What’s in The Westpark?

The first phase will have four towers, each 44 floors high. Out of these, 37 floors will have apartments. The rest will be for amenities and services. This means buyers can expect swimming pools, gyms, clubhouses, and more.

There will be 400+ apartments in the first phase. And even before the official launch, DLF has already sold a big chunk of homes in the pre-launch phase, according to brokerage reports. Kotak Institutional Equities says that DLF has already pre-sold homes worth ₹1,000–₹1,500 crore. That’s huge.

DLF Teams Up with Trident Group

This is not just any project. The Westpark is part of a slum rehabilitation plan. DLF has partnered with Trident Group, which is handling the rehab work—clearing the land and building new homes for current slum residents. DLF will manage the sale of the premium apartments.

The entire land has a total development area of 3.5 million sq. ft, with DLF handling around 9 lakh sq. ft of free-sale area.

This is a big moment for DLF. It’s not just entering a new city—it’s entering India’s most competitive real estate market. And it’s doing so with style. The Westpark could become a new landmark for the brand, and for Mumbai.
