Ekagrah Rohan Murty, who is only 17 months old, is about to earn a huge sum of Rs 3.3 crore from Infosys’ dividend for the financial year ending in March 2025. Ekagrah is the grandson of Narayana Murthy, the co-founder of Infosys, and the son of Rohan Murthy (Narayana’s son) and his wife Aparna Krishnan. He owns 15 lakh shares of Infosys, which makes up 0.04% of the company. These shares were given to him as a gift by his grandfather when he was just four months old. At that time, the shares were worth over Rs 240 crore.
On Thursday, Infosys declared a dividend of Rs 22 per share, and since Ekagrah owns 15 lakh shares, he will receive Rs 3.3 crore. This will bring his total dividend earnings to Rs 10.65 crore so far.

Ekagrah was born in November 2023 in Bengaluru and is the third grandchild of Narayana and Sudha Murthy. He joins his older siblings, Krishna and Anoushka. Krishna and Anoushka are the children of Akshata Murty (Narayana Murthy’s daughter) and UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak.
At just 1 year and 5 months old, Ekagrah is already one of India’s youngest millionaires. Since he received the shares, Infosys has declared three dividends, giving him a total of Rs 7.35 crore earlier this year. Adding the new dividend, his total earnings for the year now stand at Rs 10.65 crore.
Other family members will also benefit from the dividend. Narayana Murthy’s daughter Akshata Murty, who owns 3.89 lakh shares (1.04% of Infosys), will earn Rs 85.71 crore. Narayana Murthy himself will receive Rs 33.3 crore, and his wife Sudha Murty will earn Rs 76 crore.
The record date for the dividend is set for May 30, and the payout will happen on June 30.
Infosys, which started with a small investment of just Rs 10,000 in 1981, has grown into one of India’s biggest tech companies. Sudha Murty, a well-known author and philanthropist, helped launch Infosys with her savings. She worked for over 25 years at the Infosys Foundation before retiring in December 2021 but continues her charitable work through the family foundation. Recently, she became a member of the Rajya Sabha.
