The Enhanced Games, a controversial new sporting event where doping is not just allowed but encouraged, will announce its host city and dates today, May 21 (May 22 in India). The announcement is scheduled for 4 PM EST, which is 1:30 AM IST.
Expected to launch in 2025, the Enhanced Games is unlike anything the world of sports has seen. Backed by major political and financial figures—including Donald Trump Jr—the event promises Olympic-level competition without anti-doping rules.

So, what is the Enhanced Games?
It’s being called the “drug-fuelled Olympics.” Track and field, swimming, and more—just without any ban on performance-enhancing drugs. The idea? Let athletes push their limits, chemically and physically.
Australian billionaire Aron D’Souza, who leads the project, claims the Enhanced Games could “reward excellence” in a way traditional sports don’t. He argues athletes struggle financially while following strict doping bans. The new model, he says, allows them to earn, stay competitive, and extend their careers.
“Many Olympians are flipping burgers to survive,” D’Souza told the BBC. “They’re reaching out because they want a real shot at success.”
Trump Jr’s Role: More Than Just Money
Trump Jr’s investment group, 1789 Capital, joined the venture earlier this year. A launch video even featured President Donald Trump himself, calling the project “impossible—but we do the impossible.”
With political backing and bold promises, the Enhanced Games has suddenly become a serious disruptor in global sports.

Big Rewards, Big Risks
To sweeten the deal, the Enhanced Games offers $250,000 for every world record broken. And if someone smashes the world record in the 50m freestyle or 100m sprint, they walk away with $1 million.
But it’s not all cheers.
World Athletics President Sebastian Coe called the whole idea “bollocks.” He warned that anyone competing in Enhanced Games will face bans from traditional sporting bodies.
“If you’re moronic enough to take part,” Coe said, “you’ll be banned. Simple.”
Will it become a global spectacle, or will it crash under ethical weight? Either way, the rules of sport will never look the same again.
The Enhanced Games is more than just a controversial sports event—it’s a mirror to our obsession with speed, strength, and success at any cost.
It’s bold, brash, and totally unapologetic. And that’s exactly why it’s making headlines.
Whether you call it evolution or madness, one thing’s clear—the games have changed.
