Marvel Studios’ latest superhero movie, The Fantastic Four: First Steps, is doing well in theatres across India and worldwide. Directed by Matt Shakman and starring Pedro Pascal and Vanessa Kirby, the film collected around ₹7 crore on Day 2, after earning ₹5.5 crore on its opening day. This brings the total India box office collection to ₹12.5 crore, according to early estimates from Sacnilk.
Even though the movie is facing tough competition from the Bollywood film Saiyaara, it is holding its ground. The English shows had about 47.6% audience occupancy on Day 2.

With this strong start, fans are waiting to see if the film can cross ₹20 crore by the end of the first weekend.
Box Office in North America
In the U.S., the film had an excellent start, topping Friday’s box office with $57 million—more than what was expected. It’s on track to earn between $120 and $125 million in its opening weekend, making it the best debut for a Fantastic Four movie.
It had the second-biggest opening day of 2025 in the U.S., just behind Minecraft: The Movie. It also made $24.4 million just from Thursday night previews, which is the highest so far this year—beating DC’s Superman ($22.5 million) and following Marvel’s Deadpool & Wolverine from 2024, which had $38.5 million.
If this momentum continues, First Steps might become the biggest opening for a Marvel movie since Black Panther: Wakanda Forever in 2022.
Worldwide Earnings
Internationally, the movie has also performed very well, collecting $49.2 million from overseas markets. This brings its total worldwide earnings to $106.2 million.
The movie stars Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach. It kicks off a brand-new story for Marvel’s famous superhero team and is expected to connect with the upcoming movie Avengers: Doomsday.
