India’s Nationwide Mock Drills: A Testament to Our Strength
In a powerful display of discipline and preparedness, India has launched a series of nationwide mock drills to test its civil defence mechanisms.
From the bustling streets of Mumbai to the serene islands of Andaman, every corner of our nation is participating in this massive exercise. Why? Because when it comes to safeguarding Bharat, we leave nothing to chance.

For the average Indian, this isn’t just another drill—it’s a reassurance. A reassurance that our armed forces, disaster response teams, and civil volunteers are always ready. A reassurance that even in the face of rising tensions, India remains unshakable.
In Delhi, schools practiced classroom evacuations and emergency protocols, while Kolkata’s private schools conducted NCC-led drills.
Kerala, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka ran civil defence mock drills with sirens, sheltering protocols, and participation from key installations like Chennai Port and Kalpakkam Atomic Station. Karnataka also audited its 35 air-raid sirens.

Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Gujarat staged large-scale drills with participation from NCC cadets, Home Guards, and civil volunteers. Gujarat and UP included night-time blackout drills, while Rajasthan tested preparedness in 28 cities, including border-sensitive zones.

Haryana, Assam, Andhra Pradesh, and West Bengal implemented district-level drills, with West Bengal testing over 90 sirens across Kolkata. Assam and Andhra Pradesh also conducted blackout drills.
Tripura, Chandigarh, and Andaman & Nicobar Islands joined the nationwide effort with sirens, security force participation, and blackout exercises.

Officials across states emphasized public cooperation, the importance of verifying information through official channels, and the aim to boost readiness for any eventuality.
What’s Next?
The drills will continue for days in some states, fine-tuning responses. But the real victory? Public awareness. When schools in Delhi practice evacuations or Chandigarh residents switch off lights for blackout drills, they’re not just following orders—they’re becoming part of India’s shield.
As a proud Indian, I see this not as fear-mongering, but as nation-building. Because a country that trains together, stands together.
And when India stands united, no threat stands a chance.
