Google Labs has launched a new experimental app called Doppl to improve online shopping by using artificial intelligence (AI). This app lets users try on clothes virtually without needing to wear them in real life. Right now, the app is only available in the U.S. and can be used by anyone aged 18 or older with a Google account.
How Doppl Works:
Users can either upload a full-body photo of themselves or choose from built-in AI models. After that, they can select outfit images like tops, bottoms, or dresses from their camera roll. Doppl then uses AI to place the clothing on the body and shows how it would look as if the person were wearing it.

Main Features:
- Virtual Try-On: Combines your photo or an AI model with clothing images to show how the full outfit looks.
- Video Animation: Creates short animated videos to bring the virtual outfit to life.
- Easy Sharing: Users can download their try-on images or videos and share them with friends or family.
- Smart Completion: If any part of the outfit is missing (like shoes or pants), Doppl can fill in those parts using AI.
At the moment, Doppl supports trying on tops, bottoms, and dresses. Google Labs is working on adding more types of clothing in the future.
The app is available on both the App Store and Google Play Store. However, Android users can only use it on Google Pixel phones for now.
