
Gujarat State Petronet Limited (GSPL) saw a significant drop in its profit and revenue in the last quarter (Q4) of the financial year 2024-25. The company’s profit after tax fell by 73% year-on-year to ₹71 crore, while its revenue from operations was down 53%, falling to ₹238 crore from ₹507 crore in the same quarter last year.

The main part of GSPL’s business, gas transportation, brought in ₹233 crore, which is 53.5% less than last year. Revenue from electricity sales also fell by 8% to ₹5.24 crore. Profit before tax dropped 71% to ₹103.53 crore.

The volume of gas transmitted through GSPL’s pipelines fell by almost 23% to 25.76 million metric standard cubic meters per day, compared to 33.38 last year. For the entire financial year 2024-25, the company’s net profit declined by 37% to ₹807.62 crore, and total revenue dropped by 45% to ₹1,110.79 crore compared to the previous year. Despite these declines, the board recommended a dividend of ₹5 per share, which is half the face value of ₹10. GSPL’s main goal is to connect natural gas suppliers and users in Gujarat through its pipeline network, making it the leading natural gas transmission company in Gujarat and the second largest in India.
