
Gujarat Alkalies & Chemicals Ltd. reported a net profit of ₹21.38 crore for the fourth quarter of FY25, marking a strong recovery from a net loss of ₹21.24 crore in the same period last year. The company’s revenue from operations rose by 7.4% to ₹1,075.47 crore in Q4 FY25, up from ₹1,001.62 crore in Q4 FY24, while its sales turnover increased to ₹1,041.92 crore, compared to ₹970.01 crore last year.

The company also posted a pre-tax profit of ₹22.75 crore during the quarter, a significant improvement from the pre-tax loss of ₹77.41 crore in the previous year. For the full year, Gujarat Alkalies recorded a standalone net profit of ₹15.82 crore, turning around from a net loss of ₹132.24 crore in FY24.
Annual revenue rose by 7% to ₹4,072.91 crore, up from ₹3,806.63 crore in the previous year. Total production for FY25 reached 21,11,229 metric tonnes (MT), an increase from 20,46,173 MT in FY24. The company also doubled its EBITDA to ₹452.56 crore in FY25 from ₹226.10 crore in FY24, and achieved an annual sales turnover of ₹3,959.50 crore, compared to ₹3,702.77 crore the previous year. Gujarat Alkalies continues to focus on reducing operational costs by increasing its use of renewable energy and enhancing efficiency.

The company’s board has recommended a final dividend of ₹15.80 per equity share (face value ₹10) for FY25, which will be paid within 30 days after shareholder approval at the upcoming AGM. Additionally, the board has approved the installation of three new plants at Dahej to produce downstream Chlorotoluene products with a combined capacity of 40 tons per day. The estimated investment for these plants is ₹81 crore, and they are expected to contribute ₹156 crore in annual revenue at current market prices. Another approval was given for a new Hydrochloric Acid synthesis unit at Dahej, with a capacity of 90–120 tons per day and an investment of ₹35 crore.
This unit will support captive consumption needs in the company’s other plants by utilizing 80–100 tons of additional chlorine per day.
