Hero has launched the Xpulse 210, and while it carries the spirit of the Xpulse 200, it is an entirely new machine. But how much better is it? Is it just a minor upgrade, or does it feel like a whole new bike? We took it for a ride on and off the road, and the results were quite surprising!

Design: A Sportier Look

At first glance, the Xpulse 210 looks like a sharper, more stylish version of the 200. The overall shape is similar, but it now has a more sporty and refined appearance. It features an angular fuel tank, high-mounted front fender, and a sleeker tail section. The seat is also redesigned for better comfort, and the bike is built in a way that makes it easier to grip while riding off-road. Overall, the build quality is solid, and there’s nothing to complain about.

Features and Performance Upgrades

The Xpulse 210 improves on the 200 in three main areas: highway cruising, off-road performance, and rider comfort. It now has a larger 210cc liquid-cooled engine, borrowed from the Karizma XMR but with key modifications. Hero has changed the cooling system, intake and exhaust, and tuning to suit the Xpulse. The rear sprocket is also larger, which improves acceleration.

Here’s what the numbers say:

  • Power: 24.2 bhp (+30% vs. Xpulse 200)

  • Torque: 20.7 Nm (+20% vs. Xpulse 200)

  • 6-speed gearbox with slipper clutch

  • New semi-double-cradle frame for better strength

  • Improved suspension with 41mm front forks (210mm travel) and rear monoshock (205mm travel)

  • Higher ground clearance (220mm) and longer wheelbase (1,446mm)

The bike is now heavier at 168kg, but the added features make up for it.

Variants & Features

  • Top Variant (₹1.86 lakh): 4.2-inch TFT screen with Bluetooth, dual-channel ABS with three riding modes, tall windscreen, knuckle guards, and luggage rack.

  • Base Variant (₹1.76 lakh): LCD console, single-channel ABS, smaller windscreen, and no knuckle guards or luggage rack.

How It Rides: A Big Improvement

The Xpulse 210 feels much better than the 200. The low-end power is strong, and the mid-range between 5,000-7,000 rpm is where it truly shines. The bike sounds great, accelerates well, and doesn’t require frequent gear changes for overtaking.

On highways, it easily cruises at 100-110 kmph without stress. There are some vibrations at high speeds, but they are much less than on the Xpulse 200. The clutch is light, making city riding easy, and the gearbox shifts smoothly.

Suspension & Handling

The Xpulse 210 rides over small bumps effortlessly. It is slightly firm on bigger bumps but never uncomfortable. The bike feels stable while changing directions, and despite its tall stance, it corners better than the Xpulse 200.

Braking is predictable and confidence-inspiring. The front brake has a soft lever feel, useful for off-road riding, while the rear brake allows controlled slides in Trail mode.

Off-Road Fun

For beginners and experienced riders alike, the Xpulse 210 is a joy off-road. Whether riding on technical trails or straight dirt tracks, it remains stable and easy to control. The extra weight is not an issue, as the bike still feels light and flickable. The standing-up riding position is also well-designed, making off-road riding comfortable.

Is It Worth Buying?

The Xpulse 210 costs ₹26,000-₹36,000 more than the Xpulse 200, but it’s absolutely worth the price. It is a well-rounded, fun, and practical motorcycle with a powerful engine, comfortable ergonomics, and better handling. The added features in the Top variant make it even more modern.

Overall, the Xpulse 210 is a huge upgrade over the Xpulse 200 4V and is a great choice for adventure lovers. We can’t wait to test it further for fuel efficiency, heat management, and long-distance touring ability.
