Panchayat fans, it’s time to celebrate again! Just two weeks after Season 4 dropped, Prime Video has confirmed that Panchayat Season 5 is on its way. The announcement came with a new poster showing Binod, played by Ashok Pathak, being lifted by the cast. This moment captures the hype around his popular performance in the recent season.
The poster was shared by Prime Video on social media with the caption, “Hi 5. Phulera wapas aane ki taiyyaari shuru kar lijiye.” Though the release date is not confirmed, the makers said that Season 5 will arrive next year.
The journey of Panchayat began in 2020 during the lockdown. People instantly connected with its calm story, small-town charm, and likable characters. In a world full of crime thrillers and dark content, Panchayat gave viewers a break. It was like fresh air — simple, relatable, and heartwarming.
Season 4 of Panchayat received the best opening numbers so far, showing how big the fanbase has grown. But not all reviews were glowing. Some critics felt that the formula is becoming repetitive. What was once new and refreshing is now predictable. Still, the emotional connection with the village of Phulera and its people remains strong.
The series stars Jitendra Kumar as the central character Abhishek, along with veterans like Raghubir Yadav, Neena Gupta, and Faisal Malik. The supporting cast includes Sanvikaa, Chandan Roy, Pankaj Jha, Durgesh Kumar, and Sunita Rajwar. Swanand Kirkire also joined the show in Season 4 and left a strong impression.
Ashok Pathak, who plays Binod, became a fan favorite in the latest season. His character added a new layer of humor and freshness that clicked with the audience. That’s probably why he’s at the center of the Season 5 poster.

The creators of Panchayat are Deepak Kumar Mishra (director) and Chandan Kumar (writer), from the house of TVF (The Viral Fever), led by Arunabh Kumar. They have built something special with this series — a small village that feels like home to millions of viewers.
So, what can fans expect in Panchayat Season 5? More laughter, more drama, and more of that Phulera magic. Will Abhishek finally leave or stay? Will politics in the village take a new twist? One thing is sure — we’ll all be watching.
If you haven’t seen the latest season yet, catch up now. Because Season 5 is coming, and you’ll want to be ready when Phulera returns.
