Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a new Hisar-Ayodhya flight on Monday and also laid the foundation stone for a brand-new terminal building at Maharaja Agrasen Airport in Hisar, Haryana.
The new terminal will cost over Rs 410 crore and is a part of PM Modi’s plan to make air travel cheaper, safer, and easier for everyone.

While speaking at the event in Hisar, PM Modi said,
“Before 2014, India had only 74 airports. Today, we have more than 150. Just imagine — only 74 airports in 70 years! Now, every year we break records in airline passengers, and airline companies have placed orders for 2,000 new aircraft.”
The Hisar-Ayodhya flight is a big step forward in improving aviation connectivity in Haryana. According to officials, the flight will run twice a week, making it easier for people to travel between the two important cities.
In addition to the Hisar-Ayodhya route, there will also be three weekly flights from Hisar to Jammu, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, and Chandigarh.
The new terminal will have modern passenger services, a cargo terminal, and a new air traffic control (ATC) tower. The construction is expected to finish in the next two years.
PM Modi also announced other development projects worth ₹10,000 crore during his visit to Haryana. His visit also marked the birth anniversary of Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar, a great leader and the architect of the Indian Constitution.
Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini and several other state ministers were also present at the event.
