New Hospitality AI App Launched by IIHM | Made in India

A new app called IIHM NamAIste Hospitality GPT was recently launched at the hospitality management institute’s campus in Sector V. This app is designed to help students, teachers, professionals, and businesses in the hospitality field by giving easy access to a lot of information about hotels, food, wine, and more.

For example, when someone asked the app about different types of cheese and what they can be eaten with, it gave a quick and clear answer about fresh, hard, blue, and soft cheeses. It also explained the history of each type and suggested breads, fruits, and drinks to enjoy with them.

Another user asked about new ways of making wine in France. The app explained the latest techniques, like how barrels are managed and how technologies such as artificial intelligence are helping winemakers.

A third question was about old methods of preserving meat, and the app provided answers in both Hindi and Urdu. It explained how salt, sugar, and spices are used to cure meat and why this is helpful.

The app was created by IIHM and its technology partner, Entiovi Technologies. Suborno Bose, the founder-chairman of IIHM, said this app will change how hospitality education and work are done by supporting people with smart technology. But he also stressed that hospitality will always need a human touch, like kindness and a smile, which technology can’t replace.

Sanjoy Chatterjee from Entiovi Technologies shared that the app is special because it brings knowledge from 60 countries and can answer questions in many languages. For example, a student can ask a question in Bengali and get an answer based on information from Japan, all in Bengali.

The app is different from other AI tools because it is made especially for the hospitality industry, uses only hospitality-related information, and keeps all data private and secure in India.

Though the launch was planned for April 24 (World Hospitality Day), it was delayed due to tensions at the borders. People from different countries, including chefs from the UK, Greece, Armenia, Uzbekistan, Nepal, and Malaysia, joined the event online and shared their thoughts.

This new app is proudly made in India and aims to help the hospitality world everywhere.
