Pakistani actress and model Humaira Asghar, known for her roles in the reality show Tamasha Ghar and the 2015 film Jalaibee, has been found dead in her apartment in Karachi. Her body was discovered on Tuesday, nearly three weeks after her passing.
Neighbours Raised Concern Over Foul Smell
Humaira had been living alone in her flat in Karachi’s Defence area for the past seven years. According to News, neighbours became worried when they noticed a strong smell coming from her apartment and realized they hadn’t seen her around for several days
Police Forced Entry After No Response
Deputy Inspector General Syed Asad Raza said police were informed by the residents. When officers arrived around 3 p.m., they knocked several times. After getting no response, they broke down the door and found her body lying on the floor.
Body Was Several Days Old
DIG Raza mentioned that the body appeared to be 15 to 20 days old. Humaira was believed to be between 30 to 35 years old. Her body was sent to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for a post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death.
No Signs of Foul Play for Now
So far, no signs of foul play have been found. The police are treating it as a possible natural death, but the final cause will be confirmed after the medical report.
