
A tragic incident hit the Indian skies today. An IAF Jaguar fighter jet crashed in Rajasthan’s Churu district on July 9, 2025. The crash happened during a routine training sortie near Bhanuda village in Ratangarh. Sadly, the pilot lost his life.
Loud Noise, Smoke, and Flames
Locals said they heard a loud explosion around 1:43 PM. Moments later, smoke and fire were seen rising from the fields. Villagers rushed to the spot, some trying to control the flames before emergency teams arrived.

When rescue teams reached the wreckage, the pilot’s body was found. The aircraft was completely damaged. The Indian Air Force confirmed the pilot’s death and the loss of the Jaguar.

Swift Response by Authorities
As news spread, District Collector Abhishek Surana, along with Army and police officers, rushed to the crash site. They began rescue operations and secured the area. A Court of Inquiry has been ordered to find out what caused the crash.
The Air Force said that flying operations in the area remain normal. They have expressed condolences to the pilot’s family.
